01 Who we are

Reel Wale is a content studio that creates reels, UGC content, product videos and D2C ad creatives for brands, and runs a network of creators and models. Reel Wale is owned and operated by The Social Buddies, which is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

02 Information we collect

a) Project enquiries

When you submit our enquiry form, we collect your full name, work email, phone or WhatsApp number, brand or company name, the service you need, your approximate budget and the project details you share.

b) Creator applications

When you apply to join our creator network, we collect your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, city, specialist role, experience, social media profile link, your rates (for example rate per reel, per hour and collaboration charge), and the photos you upload (one main image and three gallery images).

c) Website and technical data

We may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and approximate location through cookies and similar technologies, to keep the website secure and to understand how it is used.

d) Communications

If you email, call or message us, we keep a record of that communication so we can respond and follow up.

03 How we use your information

We may use your information for the following purposes:

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare proposals and discuss your project.
• To review creator applications and, when approved, list creators on our website and in our network.
• To match creators with brand projects and manage collaborations.
• To send transactional emails, such as the confirmation after you submit a form.
• To improve our website, services and security, and to prevent spam and misuse.
• To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

04 Creator applications: privacy and visibility

• Your application is private and visible only to the Reel Wale team until it is reviewed.
• If your application is approved, your name, specialist role, photos and other profile details may be published on our website and shown to brands. Your phone number and rates are used internally and shared with a brand only for a relevant project, unless you tell us otherwise.
• If your application is rejected, or if it or your creator profile is deleted, the images you uploaded are permanently deleted from our website and servers.
• You can ask us to remove your profile at any time (see section 9).

05 Sharing your information

We share personal information only when needed:

• The Social Buddies: our parent company, which operates Reel Wale and handles its website, administration and business operations.
• Service providers: who help us run the website and business, such as web hosting, email delivery, analytics and spam protection tools. They may process data only to provide their service to us.
• Brands and clients: for creator details, only for a project you are considered for or have agreed to.
• Authorities or advisers: when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
• A successor business: if Reel Wale is sold or merged, with the same protections for your data.

06 Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

07 Data retention

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and manage the business relationship, and creator profile data for as long as you are part of our network or your application is under review. We then delete or anonymise it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

08 Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09 Your rights and choices

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

• Ask for access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or update inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data or remove your creator profile.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect processing already done.
• Raise a grievance with us about how your data is handled.

10 Children

Our website and creator network are meant for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11 Third-party links

Our website may link to other websites, such as Instagram or other social platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies separately.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the updated date at the top.
